We are the Trust in Nature Foundation, an organization that has evolved from the Taiwan Environmental Information Association. Our mission and goals are as follows:
- Promoting environment trusts and the biodiversity of animal habitats.
- Expanding non-governmental conservation power, safeguarding 3% of Taiwan’s natural habitats.
- Advancing environmental information exchange, reaching one-fourth of news audiences across Taiwan.
- Expanding the scope of our work to sustain existing achievements and future plans.
Through delivering environmental information, supporting private conservation areas, organizing ecological volunteer camps and environmental education events, we strive to protect Taiwan’s forests, oceans, and wetlands. Our goal is to preserve the vitality of Taiwan’s landscapes and foster a harmonious relationship between people and nature.
Originally established in 2001 as the Taiwan Environmental Information Association, we transitioned into a foundation in 2024. With our agricultural legal status, we are qualified to protect private farmlands through environment trusts under existing regulations. These farmlands, spanning from lowlands to foothills, are the most vulnerable to development and are in urgent need of protection.
